Injury reserve rule question

I have Eddie Royal he has a T next to his name meaning day to day with a groin injury so it is okay to IR him until this symbol is removed I take it. A player who does not have a symbol next to his name and a reason why he is hurt I take it is the one the commisioner will drop from your roster at 12pm Sunday.

A player cannot be put on IR unless he is listed as OUT
